THE PRACTICAL PART, MADE SIMPLE
Compare point-to-point tickets with a rail pass. Check exact stations, connections and luggage rules. Most high-speed and night trains require a reservation in addition to a pass.
Compare flexible dates, then check the airline’s total including cabin bags, seats and airport transfers. Confirm refund rules and allow extra time for separate-ticket connections.
Choose a walkable base near transport. Read cancellation terms, tourist taxes and recent reviews. Reserve timed-entry attractions through their official websites whenever possible.
Entry requirements depend on nationality, residence status and destination. Check official guidance for every border crossing. Timetables, closures and prices can change; this site provides inspiration rather than live availability.

Stone towns beside an Adriatic palette
May–June or September for coast with fewer peak crowds.
Buses suit coastal towns; ferries connect islands. Check seasonal timetables and park tickets.
Split’s everyday streets occupy the fabric of Diocletian’s Roman palace. The Riva promenade and Marjan hillside offer sea air beyond the stone lanes.
Zadar’s peninsula combines Roman streets with contemporary installations beside the sea. Its waterfront is especially atmospheric around sunset.
Dubrovnik’s limestone old town is enclosed by monumental defensive walls. Views change dramatically between the narrow streets, harbour and wall-top walk.
This small settlement is a base for the forested lakes and waterfalls of Plitvice. Boardwalk routes belong to the national park and require entry planning rather than a city walk.
Zagreb connects Upper Town lanes with markets, museums and leafy Lower Town squares.
